Summary
In terms of design, comfort and build quality, beyerdynamic x Astell&Kern has created a pair of IEMs that sits right up there with the best of best.

While they have addressed a few shortcomings of the AK T8iE MKII, most notably, the low-end. The anomalies in the mid-range are something that cannot be ignored.

At USD 1,299 (SGD 1,999), the T9iE, unfortunately, lacks the musicality that would put it into the class of high-performance, audiophile-grade IEMs.
