Verdict
Aesthetically, the SR25 does seem more like a facelift of the SR15. Internally, it is much more than that, particularly in the area of sound quality. The SR25 impresses with a faster CPU, a higher resolution display, and is possibly the best sounding DAPs I have experienced at this price point.

It also provides a strong reminder of why DAPs are a better option for listening to music over smartphones.

Without a doubt, Astell&Kern has a winner in the A&norma SR25.

    • The SR25 would underpower the HD650; my recommendation is to have the HD650 powered by a desktop DAC/Amplifier or a desktop amplifier. Alternatively, if you prefer something portable, you can try the FiiO M15
