Sony has announced two new wireless home speakers, the SRS-RA5000 and SRS-RA3000 ahead of the official opening of CES 2021 on Monday. Equipped with Sony’s unique spatial sound technologies, these speakers create ambient room-filling sound. A fantastic enhancement to any home allows one to immerse in one’s favourite music and create a serene and soothing atmosphere where music can be a perfect companion. Both new speakers are designed to deliver high quality and premium 2-channel audio experience.

Featuring Sony’s unique spatial sound technologies, including Immersive Audio Enhancement and 360 Reality Audio technologies, the RA5000 and RA3000 offer ambient room-filling sound, filling one’s space with relaxing sound both vertically and horizontally to create a broad and wide sweet spot. 360 Reality Audio tracks, which can be enjoyed through compatible music streaming services, incorporate three-dimensional sound location data to deliver the ultimate all-encompassing sound when played on the wireless speakers. Immersive Audio Enhancement, a unique algorithm from Sony, can transform any favourite 2-channel stereo tracks to fill the room with sound and further enhance the listening experience.

The RA5000 features a trio of up-firing speakers that spread music vertically, while the three middle sited speakers spread sound horizontally. The speaker unit incorporates high-magnetism neodymium magnets, and a mica reinforced cellular diaphragm gives strength to the speaker whilst maintaining a compact size. These are complemented by a subwoofer which helps to flood the room with rich, deep bass, allowing the wireless speaker to retain expressiveness from bass range notes to high range notes.

The RA3000 achieves omnidirectional sound with deep bass using a full range speaker, an Omni-diffuser that spreads sound throughout the room in every direction and a dual passive radiator to produce deep bass. The speaker’s overlapping beam tweeters form a wavefront that goes upward, which delivers sound vertically, creating a truly immersive experience.

The RA5000 and RA3000 both feature Sound Calibration that offers optimal sound performance wherever they are used. Press and hold the Immersive Audio Enhancement button on the RA5000. It will conduct a detailed sound calibration adjustment for optimum audio performance for the room it is placed in. The RA3000 provides effortless auto adjustment in the background while enjoying one’s favourite tracks. Turn the speaker on wherever it is placed, and the speaker will recalibrate itself to the new position.

The speakers also have the ability to find the perfect volume for each track by adjusting the volume track-by-track, allowing a more enjoyable and stress-free listening experience.

Connectivity-wise, one could pair the speakers with a smartphone, laptop or tablet using BLUETOOTH® technology, music can also be directly streamed in high quality over your home Wi-Fi network. For those who seek bit-perfect reproductions, these wireless speakers also provide an option of an analogue 3.5 mm Stereo connection. The RA5000 has an additional option of using one-touch NFC™ to connect one compatible smart devices easily. The RA5000 and RA3000 are both compatible with Spotify Connect and Chromecast built-in for added convenience and flexibility. One could also experience lower latency of wireless connectivity with one’s TV and enhance its audio performance via Bluetooth.

The RA5000 and RA3000 are compatible with Google Assistant-enabled devices with Chromecast built-in, and Amazon Alexa enabled devices, allowing one to control the music played on the speakers via voice control. The speakers can also be grouped with multiple compatible devices for multi-room playback using the Google Home app or Amazon Alexa app, allowing you to choose between playing different songs in different rooms or playing the same music in all rooms simultaneously.

At the touch of one’s fingertips, control the RA5000 and RA3000 from any iOS or Android smart device using the Sony | Music Center app. One can control the playlist and adjust EQ settings or even turn on/off the Immersive Audio Enhancement and Auto Volume feature with the app.

Singapore will be amongst the first markets to receive both the RA5000 and RA3000 in January 2021. Pricing is to be confirmed.
