Effect Audio marks 2023 with the debut of CODE 23

As we enter the new year, Effect Audio has announced the arrival of a new Flagship Copper-based cable, CODE 23. In 2019, the Singapore-based audio brand released CODE 51 to explore the extremities of a Silver-based cable, resulting in a Tri-Silver design comprising Palladium-Plated Silver, Gold-Plated Silver and Silver/Gold alloy to create a Flagship worthy Silver Cable.

Measuring a whopping 16.5 AWG, the CODE 23 is possibly the Thickest IEM Cable in the World. Sporting a non-stranded wire structure for the first time, implementing the first Solid Core Copper in the brand’s history, coupled with 12 Multi-sized Copper Cores bundles to form a 13-core cable design, resulting from multiple rounds of relentless methodological experimentation.

According to Effect Audio, the sizing of wire stands affect how current is passed through; a blend of different sizes will correlate to how each frequency band is transmitted, therefore a proprietary blend of multiple different-size strands is implemented for CODE 23 to achieve the sound that the brand deems to be perfect for the Flagship cable.

Another first for CODE 23 is the availability of a “Headphone” option, making it the brand’s first official offering for headphones.

The CODE 23 is available in two colours, Dystopia Black and Cyber Green (Limited Edition), with the IEM variant retailing at USD 599 (SGD 899) and the headphone variant retailing at USD 799 (SGD 1199) at Effect Audio and its authorised retailers.
