Summary
The FiiO AM3D is the cleanest and most transparent Headphone Amplifier Module the company has ever produced on its interchangeable expansion module platform.

It has become my amplifier module of choice for the X7 Mark II as well as the Q5.

Exhibiting little to no colouration, harmonious coherence across frequencies as well as high power output and low noise floor. The AM3D exhibits the traits of a good amplifier.

It breathes new life into the X7, X7 Mark II, as well as the Q5 and, offers users of the new Q5s an offering that will further the user experience.

    • While the original AM3A has its merits, the. AM3D provides a different aspect of sound quality, as shared in the review, the low noise level of the AM3D provided for a darker background allowing the THX amplifier circuit to do its magic. The module has been sold out many times over and the current batch is likely to be the last batch as shared by FiiO CEO James Chung.
