Today, Luxury audio brand Mark Levinson introduces a new high-resolution wireless Adaptive Active Noise Cancellation headphone, the Mark Levinson No 5909. The release of its first portable offering marks a milestone for the brand better known for its standard-setting premium home and car audio sound systems.

The over-ear No 5909 headphones deliver reference-quality sound via its expertly tuned 40 mm Beryllium coated drivers acoustically optimized to the HARMAN Curve, an acoustic response curve that the brand’s parent company HARMAN has taken decades of research to construct. According to Mark Levinson, this has resulted in the incredible acoustic performance realized in these reference-class headphones.

The No 5909 features Adaptive Active Noise Cancellation with three modes for premium sound isolation and an Ambient Aware feature that allows one to tune into the surroundings when required. The headphones also incorporated a four-microphone array with Smart Wind Adaption for crystal clear phone calls.

A 2021 Red Dot product design award recipient, the No 5909 was crafted with luxurious comfort in mind. The headphone is constructed with premium materials, including core aluminium components, a leather headband and replaceable leather car cushions that ensure listening solace for years to come. In addition, each headphone comes equipped with an accompanying hard-shell carrying case that also discretely stores included cables and an aeroplane adaptor.

Targeted at the inquisitive travellers and audiophiles, the Hi-Res Audio certified No 5909 has a playback time of up to 34 hours and 30 hours with Adaptive Active Noise Cancellation. Quick charging is also available, with 15 minutes of charging via USB-C yielding six hours of playback time. Bluetooth wise, the Mark Levinson headphones support up to Bluetooth 5.1 with AAC, aptX adaptive and LDAC codec support.

The No. 5909 will be available in Pearl Black, Ice Pewter and Radiant Red colour options for USD 999.
