Sennheiser introduces ACCENTUM Wireless

Sennheiser has introduced the ACCENTUM Wireless, a new pair of headphones positioned below the MOMENTUM 4 Wireless. According to the German audio brand, the ACCENTUM Wireless “outperform their price tag, sharing much of the most desirable DNA of our award-winning MOMENTUM 4”.

The brand’s latest offering features hybrid active noise cancellation (ANC) with the promise of “breathtaking Sennheiser Sound” via a 37 mm dynamic transducer (5 mm smaller than the ones on the MOMENTUM 4 Wireless), tuned to provide exciting sound experiences with outstanding bass performance and striking clarity. Furthermore, the acoustics have been optimized for broad ANC performance, dramatically reducing cacophony from the outside world through passive isolation and covert microphones targeting low and higher frequencies.

Bluetooth-wise, the ACCENTUM Wireless supports up to Bluetooth 5.2 with multipoint connectivity and support for Bluetooth codecs AAC, aptX-HD, and SBC.

According to Sennheiser, the headphones’ battery can last an estimated 50 hours on a single charge (10 hours less than that of the MOMENTUM 4 Wireless), and the ACCENTUM Wireless can quick-charge, providing up to five hours of listening in just 10 minutes. In addition, the USB-C charging cable can transform the wireless headphones into wired ones when plugged into a class-compliant device, for instances where Bluetooth is not feasible.

The headphones have two built-in microphones and a dedicated wind-reduction mode designed to make taking voice calls a breeze, with conversations feeling natural and fatigue-free through adjustable side-tone with advanced signal processing. Multipoint connectivity allows one to seamlessly switch the active wireless connection from one Bluetooth device to another, allowing for convenience and enhanced productivity.

The ACCENTUM Wireless sports a simplified physical 4-button layout, catered for intuitive accessibility. It is also supported by the brand’s Smart Control App, which allows one to manage Bluetooth connectivity and a 5-band EQ for the more sophisticated users.

The ACCENTUM Wireless will be available in black and white with sandstone accents. The black colourway will begin shipping in October, while the white variant will be in November. The new headphones will retail at an MSRP of EUR 179.90 / USD 179.95.
