Earlier this week, Sennheiser released the Sennheiser TV Clear Set 2, enabling one to enjoy television viewing with superior speech clarity and the convenience, comfort and inconspicuous style of True Wireless earbuds.
The Sennheiser TV Clear Set 2 comprises two components: the earbuds component sporting a pair of True Wireless Earbuds, a Qi-compatible charging case, additional ear adapters and a USB-A to USB-C charging cable. The transmitter component comprises a transmitter unit, a USB-A to USB-C power cable, an optical digital cable with a TOSLINK connector and a 3.5 mm plug, and an analogue audio cable with 3.5 mm plugs.
One could connect the earbuds, which weigh in at just 6.9 g, to multiple portable devices via Bluetooth for a seamless wireless solution, using low-latency streaming technology that syncs audio and video for a great viewing experience. The earbuds can also be used to make and receive calls on one’s smartphone.
When connected to a non-portable audio source, one is encouraged to connect the source device to the transmitter digitally via the optical digital cable, which supports PCM, Stereo and Dolby 5.1 data streams. Alternatively, one could use a 3.5 mm analogue cable and output to the transmitter’s 3.5 mm jack. To kickstart the experience, the earbuds are pre-paired to the transmitter. The Sennheiser TV Clear 2 Transmitter can be paired with an infinite pair of Sennheiser TV Clear 2 earbuds so that one can use the same transmitter with family and friends to enjoy the same audio stream as long as one owns a pair of Sennheiser TV Clear 2 earbuds.
The earbuds also feature a long-lasting battery that provides up to 15 hours of listening time on a single charge when used with the transmitter. The earbuds can be easily stored and recharged with the compact and stylish charging case to add a further 22 hours – allowing one to enjoy up to 37 hours of TV entertainment.
One could also personalise the Sennheiser TV Clear Set 2 with its companion app, the TV Clear App, allowing one to configure the double-tap gesture, check on the battery status and adjust key settings such as Speech Clarity mode and Ambient Awareness.
