Sony LSPX-S1 Glass Sound Speaker Review

Sound Quality

At the low-end, the sub-bass seems lacking in power while the bass as a whole lacks the impactful punch. The mid-range seems to be lacking in details and resolution resulting in an output that is clean but rather hazy. The high-end is where the LSPX-S1 shines, the treble is prominent with clarity.

Sony LSPX-S1 Glass Sound SpeakerIt would be appropriate to say that the glass sound speaker is best suited for acoustic, jazz or orchestral pieces as well as vocal tracks which would be in-line with the styling and design. When delivering the aforementioned genres of music, there is an enjoyable crispness which something one would want to hear after a long day’s work, or when you’re entertaining, or when one is just relaxing with a book.

The LSPX-S1 glass sound speaker caters for input both wired and wirelessly. On the wireless front, the devices connect via Bluetooth 3.0 and support Bluetooth codecs which include AAC, aptX, LDAC, SBC. Music can be streamed to the speaker via Bluetooth and it can be controlled using Sony’s Songpal app and is compatible with Google Cast. On the wired end, audio can be inputted via a 3.5mm headphone jack. Unlike the Sountina which is a single unit Stereo speaker, the LSPX-S1 glass sound speaker will require two speakers to be paired for Stereo playback.
